If you would like to use a prepaid credit card or debit card for a Musicnotes purchase, there are several considerations to note.
Prior to attempting to place your order, first ensure the prepaid credit card or debit card can be used for online purchases or international purchases (if you are located outside of the United States of America). This is often notated on the prepaid credit card or debit card's retail packaging, and sometimes (but not always) on the back of the card itself.
If the prepaid credit card or debit card can be used for online and international purchases (if applicable) - prior to attempting to place your order - you will need to contact the card issuer, and provide a billing address and/or billing information for the card holder. This can generally be accomplished via the card issuer's website, or through their toll-free contact number. Registering the cardholder information is required by Musicnotes' secure checkout; without this information, the payment method will fail to be processed.
Please note:
- Failed transactions on a prepaid credit card or debit card will result in accruing pending transactions for each payment attempt, which will reduce the card balance for upwards of one billing cycle, depending on the credit card or debit card company's policies.
- Musicnotes is not able to request that these pending transactions be removed.
- Please be sure to register the card information prior to using the card on the Musicnotes website.
