Australian GST

Effective 1 July 2018, in accordance with Australian law, the goods and services tax (GST) will apply to cross-border supplies of imported services and digital products sold to Australian consumers. This includes:

• Digital products – such as streaming or downloading of movies, music, apps, games and e-books
• Services such as architectural or legal services.

Since Musicnotes is the largest online retailer of digital sheet music, our products are categorized under these product types. 

The GST will apply for purchases of digital sheet music and Musicnotes Pro memberships; Musicnotes Gift Cards and Gift Certificates will be exempt from GST.
